NH Neuro Training donates England vs Montenegro tickets to LAFY!

NH Neuro Training donated tickets to Lambeth Action for Youth to take our young people to the England vs Montenegro football match. The young people had an enjoyable experience and for some, this was the first time they had visited a football stadium to watch a live match.

Lydia and Kerry deliver their Trauma & Youth Violence workshop to senior college staff and youth workers!
​
Lydia and Kerry devised a unique and powerful workshop for practitioners which focuses on trauma, youth violence and trauma informed practice. They delivered their first successful workshop to senior college staff and youth workers at William Morris Sixth Form College. They received phenomenal feedback from the staff who stated that the very much needed workshop was the best they had ever attended.

Lydia and Kerry on the Panel discussing their views on knife crime!

Lydia and Kerry were on the Panel at an event organised by MTC & Co Solicitors. There were panelists from various legal professions, social media commentators and anti-knife crime campaigners who provided different insights, opinions and a wider representation of the overall legal framework. The aim of the event was to discuss and enhance knowledge and awareness of local provisions.

Our Workshop Creator and Facilitators, Lydia and Kerry delivered their first knife crime workshop at William Morris Sixth Form College which was devised themselves. They put a unique touch to their workshops by using their own stories to help bring about change. The feedback they received was phenomenal!

The young adults with disabilities did a great performance in the music studio with great confidence. They chose their own song they wanted to sing and rehearsed it until they mastered it. Fantastic work boys!

Aziz, our Young Leader starts his Apprenticeship in Surveying!
Big Congratulations and well done to Aziz! Not only has he commenced his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate at the University of Westminster, he has taken his journey a step further by becoming an Apprentice Surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield. We are so proud to see the great young man he has become!

Trevor was described by those who work with him as "nothing short of a hero and role model for young people" in his community and was honoured with the victory of winning the 24 Housing Tenant Champion Awards 2015.

The London Eye Trip Courtesy of Red Letter Days!
Lambeth Action for Youth were fortunate to receive sponsored tickets courtesy of Red Letter Days to take the young people on a day trip to The London Eye. For some of the young people, this was the first time they had the opportunity to visit London's popular attraction which was a great experience for them all.

Rio Ferdinand Surprises Trevor on the ITV 'Surprise Surprise' Show!
Trevor experienced the surprise of his life on Holly Willoughby's popular ITV show, 'Surprise Surprise' when Rio Ferdinand made an appearance. Rio Ferdinand generously donated a years worth of funding for the venue hire for the Youth Club which runs every Friday for young people in Streatham.

New South Oak FC Kit Donated by Keepmoat!
​
When Keepmoat heard South Oak FC were looking for a new kit to allow the young people to enter into a football league, as well as bond as a team and give them a sense of pride in their club, they were more than happy to help such a worthy cause. Keepmoat donated a kit for the team and returned a few weeks later during the training to donate a couple of footballs.
